Yes. Just don't call me Shirley.

Now Dave, here's what you want to do - visit an air show and take a GOOD audio recorder. Get the
sound of a T-6 or B-25 starting up . . . pow/pow/pow/Rumble/*ROAR!!!!!!* and record it.

Find some scuzzy little econobox like an old Rabbit or Cavalier, install a 10,000 watt stereo (and
you know what's coming, right ;-). You'll also need a big puff of oil smoke from under the hood at
startup.

You'll never have to drag race for pink slips again, run that startup audio and they'll just hand
them to you in despair.

I've had the distinct pleasure of sitting in the cockpit of the CAF's B-29 (only one flying in the
world), and heard it fly past on the way from Daytona to Tico (Titusville) recently when it was on
tour - what a truly wonderful noise. Made what little hair I have left on my head stand straight up.

The reason I only have a little hair left on my head is that I was at the Cape years and years ago
and watched/heard/FELT a Saturn 5 leave for the moon. We were about ten miles from the pad. It was
SO LOUD it simply *blew off* most of the hair on top of my head. (That's my story and I'm sticking
to it . . .)

Best Regards,

90V8Q, whcih sounds pretty good (when it is running)
and some airplanes that sound even nicer.
