[V8] how much hassle is . . . ?

I have to pull the gas tank on my 90V8Q (ugh) and my manuals are packed away (ugh again).
Need to clean it out (congealed ethanol "gasoline") and need to free up the fuel feed line to the
filter in front of the right rear wheel. (Filter is clogged, probably original.)
Filter seems to be clogged, the ferrule for the fuel line turns in the filter but won't back out. I
can't get a saw onto it, or a nutcracker, or much of anything else except a 19mm open end wrench,
the nut around the fuel line just turns in the filter housing and won't back out.
Alternatively, I am absolutely open to suggestions on doing these two tasks without dropping the
rear suspension to get the tank out.
1) Have to de-gunk the inside of the tank,
2) and I have to free up the fuel feed line so I can shove it downward far enough to cut off the
filter body, and then pull it back up far enough to connect the banjo fitting on the fuel tank
cover. The fuel line seems to be jammed between the tank and the body, it won't move forward or back.
(Wonder if I can loosen the fuel tank straps to free up the line and not have to R&R the rear
suspension?)
Blech.
Fortunately, I have a good place to work - inside, warm, proper lights, power, concrete floor, floor
jacks and jack stands, lotsa metric tools including a selection of metric hammers and even a metric
cutting torch - anyone feel like coming to Daytona Beach on a mini vacation from the snow and
helping me work on this? (Also music, and beer if you want it, but you'll have to bring your own
dancing girls - sorry.)
Best Regards,
