[V8] Been longtime

I second this recommendation.  I bought a beater a couple years ago and
though it would engage and drive, all the lights for the trans display would
light up, but only when it was cold.  I did a pan drain/refill as Tom
describes and it was fine.

I'd first drain the tranny pan and see what comes out...Should be 4  
quarts of clean fluid.  Refill w/4 quarts Dexron and see what  
happens. Make sure battery is good, as low battery voltage can cause  
limp mode which is how I got my first car.  Blink out the fault codes  
per manual/SJMautotechnik's site....Tom
