Hey Bob, if you haven't blinked out the codes for either, you are
"barking up a leather lined luxury blind pig". If the car starts
fine, then bad on warmup, then could be coolant temp sensor/OX/
Reference sensor/?...Best starting point would be to blink out the
codes. I replaced the coolant sensor in the 5-speed(which was purple
and was supposed to be white which bothered me), and while I had no
codes as I recall, it warmed up/ran better/better mileage, but I
wasn't having any of the issues you are having. I replaced the
coolant sensor on the Lago car when I did the belt job because it was
only $20 and it was a good time to do it(distributor was out) and it
was 20 years old. If you haven't done any of those sensors recently,
then it's good money spent anyway( They are things that get replaced
eventually and they will all add up to what someone might want for an
ECU/TCU or even the eleusive Multi-Function Switch. I think your
"timing" issues are unrelated to the tranny, but ? Of course if the
codes say Speed sensor/whatever, then I'd start there.......Tom
