[V8] Experienced? I Need to Know, "Older" Parts in "Newer" Models

Thanks, the distributor, now, seems to fit, but it isn't lined up. What an awkward 
job! Any one have that stalling after a backfire and loss of timing? Should I try to 
put early (3.6 era) computers into my 4.2 V8? Interchangeable computers? Bob
