[V8] Ramps are a no go

   I use homemade jack stands, a lucky flea market buy. A welder made them from 
2" sq "tubing" on a 3/8" solid steel plate with 4 reinforcement ears and a 10" slider 
made from 1 1/2" sq "tubing" with over sized holes and u-cradle, all heavily welded 
3/8" steel.
   I use the Audi jack or floor jack on one of the 4 jacking spots. then put a bottle 
jack under one of the body bolts that are under the engine on each side, jack it up 
and then replace the sill jack with a jack stand. In the rear, I temporarily put the 
bottle jack on the "bolt" that attaches the trailing rear arm.
    Solid HD steel jack stands are necessary to get under these beasts.  ~Bob
