I worked on a 94 v8 that had the same issue with the same diagnostics you went through. The next step I used was to pull the plug off the sensor, and hook up only pin 45 to the sensor, and ran a separate ground to the switch. Code went away.
What I found in this case was a bad TPS causing the issue. IIRC, pin 30 ground on the ecu is also ground for both knock sensors, TPS, barametric sensor, IAT and Hall sensors.
If this doesn't work and you still get the code, follow rule #1, new does not mean known good.
Cheers and HTH

Subject: [V8] 93 V8Q - G62 code
Assistance for the '93 V8Q? I keep getting a code G62-coolant sensor
short/intermittent connection/value. When I clear the code.the idle goes up
but then the check engine light returns along with the same code, and the
idle returns to normal. I have checked the continuity of the connections
between the sensor and the ECU and also replaced the sensor itself. Don't
know what to look for next as to why the code keeps coming back. Drivability
is a little off.
Also, how do you get the plastic cover behind the retaining clips on the
accelerator cable firewall connection junction with the spring in place?
THANKS!
