[V8] Turn signals, emergency flashers not working

... I don't remember the exact symptoms, but I do remember a very long time ago 
that I had to replace the emergency flasher switch on #344.  The turn signal 
lines must go through this switch as well.  Try pushing slightly on the 
emergency flasher switch when the turn signals are on to see if you can't make 
them work and stop working.  


ISTR that I simply replaced the switch, but it may be possible to get some sort 
of contact enhancer in there and get the switch to work again ...

1990 V8 automatic.  A few weeks ago, turn signals began to not work, then work, 
then not work, etc.  Never checked emergency flashers, but now that the turn 
signals are not working at all, I checked emergency flashers and they also don't 
work.  The work/don't work/work/don't work seems to rule out a fuse.  Any ideas 
what might be going on and what I might check?
