I'd almost reverse that and have someone powerbleed the brakes, and
do the tranny service yourself. While my Lago car bleeds just fine
with my Mini Vac hand pump attached to a mason jar reservoir, have
had some trouble bleeding some of the other cars. The pressure
bleeder with a reservoir to pump the fluid thru is the best method,
and while I borrowed one to do the long gone Pearl car, still had to
pump the brake to get it to bleed the rears(maybe that proportioner
valve?). It took over the 2 quarts of fluid supposedly required by
the time I got it bled, but it was totally empty.
Coolant flush, the only issue is what color coolant you want to put
in.....Ha. I'll say anything that isn't green or Dexcool, just to
hear from someone who hasn't posted in awhile....
Tranny service.....Remove the 2 cooler lines @ the radiator, and put
into a bucket with a lid/something to keep the splashing down. Start
car and run till your helper says it stopped pumping and stop
immediatly. Remove pan/clean out all the metal goo/replace filter/
pan gasket, then fumble with those 4 corner bolts/holders. Don't
forget to put those magnets back that you cleaned. Replace those
orings on the cooler lines and refill with 9.5 quarts of fluid. When
you see how much stuff is in that pan, it's totally satisfying and
something I'd much rather do myself, than trust it with someone
else. The hardest part usually is removing the exhaust, and since
your's was just removed, it should be easy.....Tom
