[V8] Super Low Mile 5K

Well, then, I certainly don't get it. We had a neighbor lady who bought a
new 5000 sedan around 1984...the first of the "new" Audi 5000's. She had
rotor problems and those were replaced under warranty, I remember.
She had traded her BMW 735 big body sedan for the Audi on the advice of a
son who lived in California or someplace.

We moved into our new home sometime later, and bought our new 5000S Avant,
which is memory serves was either a very late 1985, or perhaps a 1996, and
at around 15,000 miles, I think it was, Audi replaced those rotors and
calipers under warranty.

The car went away at a fairly young age in favor of a Porsche 944, but I
have now forgotten exactly how many miles it had at the time. Less than 30K
and two years old, as far as I can remember.

The 5000 non-turbo's used G54 single piston calipers, same as the 4000Q,
Scirocco 16V, and QSW, perhaps others. Standard rotor setup. Not exactly a
problem prone brake system, IME.

The Turbos used G60 dual piston calipers, same as a lot of our V8's and 200
20V's have had installed on them. Also use a conventional brake rotor.
