I'd only buy Bosch, and every one I've bought was Bosch regardless of
where I got them(some cheap ebay one's were repackaged). The
rotors I got when I replaced them on the Lago car @ 70K or so were
the set-screw one's that everyone seems to hate, but that motor still
runs better than the other 2. As I recall there were 2 different
part numbers for that rotor(rt and left), and maybe someone will
chime in about that, as I haven't changed them in that car as it was
in storage for many years, but the part numbers were different. I
see those Standard, and Whatevers, and unless they are $5, I'm not
wasting the time. The reason so many V8's have ancient wires/caps/
rotors are the cost. Best case scenario is $100 for 2 caps, then
rotors.....$250 for some wires....That's why many get neglected. I
remember when I first got the Lago car, I asked at the dealer about
wires, and they said they only sold them by single part number..That
was about $1100/set. I was psyched to find them (Bosch in 03-04) for
$295/set and thought that was great. Made a huge difference on a car
that only had 70K or so, but 13 yrs of living in Colorado and baking
under that hood..I've got a spare wire if anyone needs it, but all
the new wires are where they should be....Tom
