[V8] 1993 5 spd

 Point of reference, I drove a 02 S8 that was priced at 6200 at a local Mazda dealer.  Needed TB, brakes, paint was ok.  All optimism aside (this *is* the v8 list), a standard low mile 3.6 is in the low-mid 3k range.  The question is, does adding the 4.2 engine increase it's market value, or just the ego factor of the driver (my claim).  When you start looking north of 4k, there are a lot of newer quattros that price is bumping into.  To that end, I'd say $4k is probably the very top, deduct ~600 for timing belt on age not miles.  If that price is a shocker, probably better to keep it, put a timing belt on it, and drive it more.  Given the predictions on gas prices, whatever you do, consider doing it soon, or the decision will become much easier for prospective buyers.

Is it grey or blue interior?  A blue would be more desirable but grey is
easier to match to s4\6 sport seats.  Cool car, highly desirable.  Does it
have a chip, like a euro manual chip would be sweet.

White with grey interior, excellent condition other than fading paint,
interior still looks new,  Everything is pretty much stock other that it
was chipped, 17 inch tires on Audi wheels, built in XM and Sirus with a
aftermarket panonsonic radio, good head liner,  Timing belt was done at
75,000 at least 6 years ago.  Heated seats work.  I was hoping about $5,000
- $6,000 so you're in the ball park.
