[V8] Water Cooled Oil Cooler

I have a possible oil cooler leak. Water with some oil contamination is dripping 
between the radiator and oil cooler. I don't know if water cools the oil, or if the 
cooler shares water lines with the radiator. I will pull the two units out, but, have 
you had this experience yet? Any clues, where's the most likely leak?

 There is a rear head-to-block breather hose that I last changed 10 years ago, due 
to its awkward position against the firewall. I have been ignoring it, even when 
engine oil is burning directly below on the muffler cross over. The rubber must 
have disintegrated long ago? No one included it in the CV thread last week. Is there 
still a source for them?   Bob
