[V8] clunking 90 v8

Is it more of a vibrating against the body sound? If so, check the 
engine/trans mounts. When they go, the engine/trans will move enough to hit 
the body, causing a sort of deep vibrating noise inside the car.

If not, perhaps you can describe the noise with more detail.
