[V8] "Special Grease"

Hey, had a few hrs today to move forward on getting the Black car  
back together.  Both front axle flanges had apparently been leaking,  
so I decided to redo the seals before putting the axles back on.   
"Front Final Drive" was mostly empty, but  passenger side was wet.   
Driver's side(with plastic speed sensor ring) had a bunch of thick  
amber grease that the book call's "special grease".......and no  
evidence of gear oil.  Schematic show's another seal behind the  
bearing, so am wondering(for those who've done this) if that area  
that the plastic magnetic ring is is supposed to be grease, and no  
gear oil, and what grease one might use, as I don't seem to have  
anything similar in my stash....I"m going to try and sell the car,  
but want to fix what I can while I'm in there.  Haven't opened up  
axle flanges in 10 yrs since doing the Lago car when I got it and I  
recall both leaking gear oil.....Just want to do the right
