[V8] peculiar tire wear

I was driving the car for the first time for a couple of weeks because in the summer i dont driver her much. I noticed that i have over looked a minor wobble and slight pull to the right in my front end. And upon further inspection  my front right tire which has great tread except for the outside edge is totally smooth all tread gone.  (About a inch ) The inner side of the tire has full tread?  The driver side tire does not show wear like this. Could it be something as simple as a alignment? Or should i look under there for a failing part?
