[V8] Sometimes wish we had fewer wet blankets

LOL. Bottom Line, you never saw the car, or tried to buy it. So, what I propose is, maybe instead of waving the nationalistic wet blanket that 'all' v8's be saved (how do you sleep thinking of the ones you missed?:), let's use the expertise on this list to *help* this car get sold. With the input from TooManyQs, and myself, 2 serious buyers already worked this deal, and *both deals failed*. The expert Broker in me says, that's a Seller problem. Steve sounds close enough to the guy to help him become one. The rest is a forum jerk chicken derby, and the very reason this list lacks engagement.
What I know of this car, and the pics of it (er, supposedly in its selling state?), 2 things can happen. 1) the Owner gets serious and does something with the car and becomes a Seller. 2) He stops complaining/threatening that it goes to the crusher and send it there. (3: Strip it for parts and make millions, but that contextually doesn't seem to be an Owner option).
My assessment last year (which concurs with Too Many Quattros eval) was this is a track car candidate. Mostly because when you park a car under a tree that excretes paint stain, and problems with moisture have made an interior mold trap, the car is track or parts. Because IME with 'mold' cars, you can't 'fix' that problem easily or safely.
So I outright laugh, cough, joke, diss and possibly flick the bird that I get ascribed/attacked, as I did more than *ANYONE* to help get this car a new owner. I didn't get paid for my effort, I did it because had this specific car deal gone down, the prospective Buyer was prepared to make a DTM tribute car for the track.
So, I can challenge any attack on *me* with higher ordinance than any keyboard stroking can insult. Short of me calling the Owner (note I didn't say Seller) and educating him on his 'value' perception, this one should go to the crusher, because he made 2 deals fell apart.
I'm sure it's just me.
LOL Tom, thanks for the smiles as always

Oops, just got back from a long weekend way out on the ocean and read
that diatribe from Scott, and that's all I could come up with...and
misspelled it, Ha. So, Scott, are you saying your A4 can beat your
"one of it's kind/won't share with anyone ABT" chipped
4.2?......Anyway,I never saw the pics, and it's a way's away, but it
simply can't go to the crusher, no matter how much math you want to
do. You of all people should be able to appreciate the rareness of
that car/tranny instead of telling everyone how much better that xyz
is, and it's not a 5-series bmw website, so who tf cares.....We all
know the car is behind many in the realm, but it is what it is. You
know that. You are god's gift to german auto repair and you should
appreciate this car for what it's worth.....Someone buy that car
please.....Ha. Tom
