LOL, sorry I'm getting quite low on popcorn from another forum....
http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/249771.phtml
Ok, let's assign me the <F1> key, keep on the program and recap what we *know*
* Moderator posts an almost verbatum copy of a 10month old advisory re: OMG 91 4.2 5spd going to crusher - but no car (Selling/pics/pricing) information available - again
* Two longtime v8 forum individuals put up their *direct/personal* experience and 'real' views of the car, price and owner from 8+ months ago. Both guys tried to help different respective enthusiasts get this car. Epic fail on both tries - value proposition in both attempts couldn't be met (cough = understatement)
* Car comes up again in the same flava-flave threat of impending crush. Same two list guys put forth their input based on direct experience with price/pics/deals.
* BETTER experts on this forum that have never seen even pictures of the car, or heard a price, claim it should be bought in spite of the apparent value proposition problems.
* Car has been sitting for much longer than the 'year' it would appear from the moderators post -last year!
I'm happy to be the village idiot, but hard to ascribe me stupid. I'm pretty sure there is 'at least' another problem. Me, I claim it doesn't go to my realistic assessment or opinion, I'm pretty sure this is a Owner>Seller value proposition.
The good news is, eventually this problem will resolve itself.
The rest is pure jerk chicken keyboard travels. Time to stock up on some private label popcorn
Carry on.

Tom!
Very well put! And for me, the intrinsic B.S. repellant now has me settling in
for some fun reading any time I see posts from the self-proclaimed master of
everything. It's funny. I've learned over the years, as one of the modern-day
folks has so profoundly stated, "You Can't Fix Stupid!" I think it was Larry the
Cable Guy, but THAT may be inaccurate - so if it is I'm sure he'll know, and be
quick to give us a meaningless dissertation on that too!
Maybe this is a closer picture of reality: "Jack of All Trades, Master of NONE!"
Just sayin! LOL!
I don't know who came up with that one, and frankly I don't give a rats hind end
either. Maybe it was the same guy who invented those horribly inefficient
automatic transmissions, cause obviously that guy knew nothing about what he was
doing either!
Hoo-ra, this is great fun!
And oh yea, here's a texting phrase I (yea, that's a capital "I") coined a few
years ago when my kids refused to call me, but insisted instead that I text them
back. I pulled to the side of the road and texted them: "KMBFA, if you want to
communicate with me, call me!"
KMBFA = Kiss My Big Fat ..........
Yes, great fun!
Thanks,
ProfessorGT
