The later cars (92-94)do have a nicer climate control, but it's a good bit
of work to install in the 90-91's.
Your fan should have three speeds, IIRC. High, Low, and med. You can only
select high and low manually, though.
Exterior temp sensor, here's the simple solution. Get teh $6 one from a
later Audi (I'm thinking the 03 A4) that has a plug on it. Cut the plug from
the pad wear sensor on that car. Plug them together, and cut and splice it
into your harness after cutting your sensor off the end. Done, BTDT at least
10 times. Have them for both sensors on the 100, the front sensor on the V8,
both sensors on my C5, and several customer/friends cars.
