Greetings to all and happy holidays.
Finally got around to replacing my driveshaft center support bearing.
I ordered it from Power Train Industries for $126.71. It was a direct fit, bolt on replacement and seems good build quality.
(Thanks Scott)

"To order one call Dwayne from Drive Line Service of Atlanta at 770.242.9366 The company that built them was PowerTrain Industries. I'll get a part number asap.
*EDIT* Part number is 2580-60. Now in talking to the guy at PowerTrain Industries he recommended buying it from one of his distrubutors because he sells the bearing for $137 and I bought it from the above distributor for $80. But the part number is 2580-60

Separating the drive shaft was a little nerve whacking, but she gave up eventually. Luckily my U-joint was serviceable. (Snap rings, not staked in like newer models) so I replaced that too for good measure. Also cleaned and repacked the CV joints.
While I was in there I adjusted the parking brake and replaced the gear oil in the differential.
Oh what a joy it is to mash the pedal again and listen to the V8 roar on a silent night!
13 years, 140k miles up and down the west coast, and she runs like a champ.
