[V8] Yet another car

Hey, well a friend who's got the large German auto place in town  
called me about 3 yrs ago asking me if I wanted a client's Black V8  
for $1500 or so....I said no......He called last week and apparently  
it's been sitting in his boneyard ever since and was calling before  
he crushed it.....When it died, it was running on 6 and running rich.  
I removed both distributors/wires attached and replaced and fired up  
on all 8.  Drove it 4 blocks home, and have been messing with it.  It  
was parked under a fruit tree, and as such, some rats decided to take  
up residence in the engine compartment, and seem to be fond of the  
knock sensor wires.  Tech left it with all the plugs out(compression  
check), and the tops of the valve covers were covered in rat poop.   
Assuming the motor could eat some rat poop, I put some new plugs in  
and ran it. It was smoking really bad and smelt rich.  I found 1/2  
case of 5W-30 in the trunk and when I drained the oil, it was like  
water.....Filled it up with 15-45(Rotella for my Diesel) and smoking  
almost went away.  No codes, but was still running rich.  I changed  
the fuel filter that was an OEM audi filter that was orange(never  
seen that), and a bunch of stuff came out in the pan, and here's the  
pic of filter.......
Anyway, even though no codes, I pulled the OX wire, and it ran  
better, so I replaced the OX sensor, and it's basically fine, but  
still smells rich but runs great....FPR/vacuum is fine, and all the  
breather hoses are new(yeah)......May swap ECU just for fun as the  
spare has the chip I believe, but aside from that, I'm thinking  
Injectors?....Car has newer rack/OEM hoses/front end/shocks...needs  
all 4 brake hoses(have)/sunroof cable(have)....winning.....Tom
