" I just recently went through the trouble of purchasing a center support bearing from 034 and spent $100 plus shipping. At the time, it was the only center support bearing that I knew of that could bolt-on without modification. Of course there is the BMW bearing that needs to be welded on. Well when I got my 034 unit and compared it to the unit that I was shown. The one I was shown looked MUCH sturdier than the 034 unit.
For example, on the 034 unit the bracket and the bearing itself was not touching. There was about a 1/4" gap between the bearing and the bracket itself. Also, the spot welds looked ... well it was just that .. a spot weld. About the size of the nail on my pinky finger. The other unit had no gap between the bracket and the bearing and it was welded along the whole length of the metal. I wish I took pictures. But the new unit is cheaper and structurally better built than 034 unit.
This is not my product, I'm just passing on good information.
To order one call Dwayne from Drive Line Service of Atlanta at 770.242.9366 The company that built them was PowerTrain Industries. I'll get a part number asap.
*EDIT* Part number is 2580-60. Now in talking to the guy at PowerTrain Industries he recommended buying it from one of his distrubutors because he sells the bearing for $137 and I bought it from the above distributor for $80. But the part number is 2580-60"
