Scott, you also forgot the Australian couple that recently set a new world record for the longest distance on a tank of gas....Passat TDI 6-speed manual and they went 1626 miles on a tank of diesel averaging 84.1 MPG...(just got a friend's last 6 months of Car and Driver).....Tom
