so is this sensor available? if so, where? the mechanic is irrelevant since he doesnt live in my city and I dont deal with him.

I know how to use a voltmeter in a basic way but i need to know what pins and what to look for specifically. and if the junk seat does work miraculously, can the leather and foam be swapped? there is a set of s4/6 seats I want to look at also

In a nutshell though, verify you have voltage at the heat elements. Then verify you have continuity through the seat heaters. Once you take the seat apart the heater wires are pretty obvious - they go into the seat cushions and have a 2 pin plug. My guess is a broken seat heater. It is possible to repair if you can find the break - and often you can see a black spot where it burned open. The best repair is to crimp on a small section of very flexible wire.

Apparently the thing is built into the rad itself. Is this true? Is there no way another one can be retrofitted? That fan was wired to be on all the time and with the stupid freezing winters that is coming I think I would rather have it work when needed. It gets stupid cold here....
