Got your email Tom, Thanks.
In checking the VAGCAT parts catalog it appears that the front and rear components are the same so I'm feeling pretty comfortable
getting those if needed. I've been searching for a post that someone had put up about the cheap stamped steel ones but haven't found it yet.
As I remember they even had a link to a photo showing the difference.
I think I would want to actually see the mounts before buying so I didn't get the stamped steel ones.

Subject: V8 stuff

Hey bob, having trouble with my email program, so trying again to
respond.  In summary I said Bilstein's don't require bump stop, and
I've got the HD's on Lago, and while way stiffer, like it better than
stock.  I've never tried the Tourings, but it's been said that they
feel like OEM(Boge), but slightly more solid.  I didn't replace the
strut bearings/mounts when I did the shocks @ 90K(6-7 yrs ago) as
they seemed fine.  OEM mounts have been NLA for awhile now, and the
cheap chinese stamped steel one's are all thats available in the
states.  Ron did a group buy a few yrs back, so maybe someone on the
list has a set they don't need since they've crushed they're
cars.....let's see if this goes thru.  Tom
