[V8] 5-speed no start

Hey, well had a part of a day to check out the 5-speed.  No voltage @  
Fuel Pump Relay/Fuse.  Put Voltage to pump and runs, but car still  
won't start(on starting fluid either....tries to but stumbles).   
Newish caps/rotors/plugwires/plugs.  Flywheel sensors tested fine,  
but swapped for 2 OEM that also tested fine.  I was under the  
impression that ECU sends voltage to the relay/fuse.  Haven't messed  
with ignition switch, but was wondering if the ABT chip in the ECU  
could cause ECU flakiness.  Hoping it's not the ECU, and if so, who  
know's what's different between the 5-speed ECU and the Auto.  I've  
got spare Auto's, but no such luck on the 5-speed.  I"ve had 3 bad  
ECU's in my life(non audi).....Any help would be appreciated....Tom
