Well, I went into emergency room Monday @ 3pm for some stomach
pain,had appendix removed @ 8pm, and was released @ 11:30pm same
day. It was Lamproscopic surgery, and I've only got 3 small holes
and basically feel like I did too many situps....totally amazing. So
I get to take a few days out of my way too busy schedule, and do
nothing, so have some time to ramble.
I recently went out to Neah Bay for opening of the 4 day Halibut
season and had the joy of putting a fuel pump in the Black car that I
sold to a friend's son. They don't sell premium out there so he's
pretty good about filling up on his way back home, and unfortunatly,
had just done so. Had to siphon out 15 gallons which
"sucked"....Ha. His dad got lucky as he's not so diligent about
using premium in his A8, and had to throw 5 gallons in it as we were
running out of gas cans. New pump(040 I believe) had a bottom that
was slightly flatter than the original, and had to cut the 3 little
tabs off inside of screen basket to get it to fit in, but rest went
easy, and now is silent(old pump worked but screamed). His speedo
had a small piece of the black backing peel and think it caused the
needle to stick @ 50. He says when he get's over 50, it goes up, but
then sticks back @ 50. The peeled part is below that, so it's not
actually hanging up on it. So he bought a nice radar detector that
I'm guessing uses GPS to give him his actual speed, and he can live
with that.
I haven't had any time to look @ the 5-speed, and since I"m not
driving it since it needs the steering rack mount welded, hasn't been
a priority except that it's in the boat's way.
Here's a pic of a few Spot Prawns....This is about as big as they
get, and the meat is like little Lobsters(if Roger is still lurking
out there)....Tasty. Hope all's well, Tom
