I've been pondering this for a few years, and I think I finally want to
bite the bullet. The 5000 is the only vehicle I've ever had without keyless
entry. Most of what I find for pneumatic locks is for Mercedes. But their
pumps look and operate so much like ours, I wonder if it would be just as
easy.
Here's the system, with the ability to program a 3s pulse for pneumatic
locks:

Here's the instructions for a Mercedes pneumatic system:

Just like ours, the wire goes positive for one, and ground for another. I
checked the wiring today, it's a yellow wire. So, am I crazy thinking it's
this easy? Snip the wire, connect one end to one wire of the system,
connect the other end to the other wire? Plus the constant and ground of
course.
If so, this is perfect. I even found a NOS kit instead of a gaudy new one
with chrome remotes and switchblade keys.
I've been using the list too much lately, but you wanted activity....right?
