[V8] 4.2 Oil capacity

Brandon,

I agree The Professor, I have used M1 0-W40 in my V8 and in my other VAG cars with excellent results. Also stay with the OE or Mann filters because they have the proper by-pass valve in them. I would fill to the "upper" line on the dip stick. If that's 8 or 8 1/2 Qts then fine. See where it settles like the Professor said. I think I would limit the Dino oil to 5,000 mile. Now you have time to watch for it on sale and order up another filter and washer.

I want to see some pics of the car, and not just a worn through trany cooling line.

I do remember our being discussed a bit. I was sitting in the parking lot
and decided to ask anyway! I actually ended up getting some basic Citgo
10w40... Because it was $1.29 a quart with rebate and I'm cheap. My owners
manual says 8 quarts so that's what I bought. Imagine a $60k car with oil
change directions in the owners manual. Not in today's world!
