When I replaced the fuel tank in my 200q20v sedan, the "new" one came
from an S-car. I found the baskets in the tank to have differences that
would not let the pump basket go into the one mounted in the tank. Pix
is at http://www.pbase.com/kneale_brownson/image/30210145. What I did
was remove the fixtures from both tanks and put the one from the
original into the replacement. They mounted the same inside the tank
with some nuts that held them to studs in the bottom of the tank.
