[V8] (was) Need it Gone

Whoa Ed! What about thanking the guy for letting the list know where the car is? The last several years I've read about dozens of v8 in and about for sale. The good ones sell. The 'every last' one that has been through multiple owners representing neglect, just don't sell. Why? Because the savvy on these lists know what it takes to bring one back. Those that 'commit' to them, already own spare cars/parts. I say a 250$ v8 won't likely be a good driver with 10x that amount put into it.
The reality in many cases right now is, the rear torsen (and maybe the UFO>HP2 front upright>upgrade) is worth more than the whole. Me, I go back many years, and see even the most hardcore v8 enthusiast give the 'typical' read line. If only it was closer, if only I could afford it, if only the guy would send me parts, darn close to: if only someone would drive it to me....
I say thank the guy for letting those local know where it is in the yard, and leave him be. Bust on a guy for doing that small favor, the next guy won't even bother with that gesture.
Just sayin

92 v8
91 v8 (might be the next to the yard)

Sadly, I respond to this…
I couldn’t remember reading a message with such a dire subject. So I
investigated to refresh my memory.
I could not find such a message. In fact, I found a message from you which was
only a forward of a message which merely contained that phrase in the message
body, not as its subject.
The only prior message from you to this list was in December of 2013; a message
regarding A8s, with a only a vague reference to your V8. This message did not
contain the phrase “need it gone”.
Your post tonight with the subject “(was) Need it gone” is an undeniable
misrepresentation of reality. If you really gave a shit, you would have posted
it to the Marketplace. Any number of listers would have been willing to
fly-buy-drive for $250. It’s not anyone's fault but your own that you flushed it
to a boneyard. It’s merely sour grapes and regret that motivate you to post it
“a few weeks” later to an enthusiast mailing list.

Our 1993 V8 is at Hwy #4 salvage Coombs a few weeks ago.
Got 250 bucks cash
had a last drive bombing around Parksville. The cats/exhaust was a bit clogged in so a bit down on power.
But other than that drove well, hot and dusty after sitting around in the
summer heat.
that's a rap - woo hoo!
