Your transmission cooling lines are 3/8" aluminum
tubing. The front ends have Y connectors where one side goes to the
small fan
driven left fender cooler and the other to the radiator. I discovered
the lines have couplings. Unscrew the nut and then it appears all one
piece, there is a high tolerance SS slide end on the line with a
shoulder and a nut. It
has to be wiggled out. Possibly a tool like a tack puller with a
sharpened 1/2"
radius would help. They both have a large SS nut on each end. The rear
ends (third sections)
connect to the trans. One has a 2" right angle bend going up into the
trans and the
other one goes up the side of the transmission. I think our cars were
being fitted with upgrades
that would be used for the early A8s. You may find the lines are
available on an A8.
