[V8] Power Door Lock Switch

Since the list has been quiet for awhile now I thought I would poke it in the ribs and wake it up a bit. 
I have 2 questions for all, 
  
1. At what point did Audi install a power lock switch at the inside drivers door handle? 
    It seems as though It's not on all 1992 and up, or is it? I've always wondered why there 
    wasn't one in the first place instead of reaching behind to push the lock knob. 
  
2. I'm looking at changing out the springs for the trunk to the later model ball pins and struts. 
     When ever I shut the trunk I get this BOINGGGGGGG. So unbecoming of a Flag Ship. 
     Anyone out there with a parts car that would consider selling those parts? Or has made that 
     upgrade.
