[V8] Climate control codes - AC not cold.

Rusty old memories here, but ISTR the code is bogus ... a sensor that was never installed from the factory. Check the archives, and Scott Mockry's site to make sure.
I'd be suspicious of the blend doors. The evaporator is probably ice cold, there just is no air flowing through it ...

Subject: [V8] Climate control codes - AC not cold.
With all the lovely summer temperatures we've had up here in Seattle, I
thought I would see if I could get the v8 to actually blow cold air again.
Checked low-side pressure, both running and off, and it seems to be holding
just fine, so I'm guessing a leak isn't the issue. Checked the archives
and pulled codes from the climate control system, it flashes '01 09.
Which the archives seem to indicate a coolant temp sensor? Behavior wise,
the clutch doesn't seem to be engaged, which seems to match behavior for
that sensor.
Should I just blindly replace the sensor, or does anyone have tips to check
it before I do. I'm also curious about the '01 before 09. I wasn't able
to find any info out on what '01 might mean.
Thanks as always,
-John
