[V8] Who was talking about the Audi V8 as a donor/conversion car?

I am thinking with one of the high revving 4.2 versions, or a tweaked 3.6
even, it would be a blast of a car. Its a shame the more modern 4.2's will
make better mileage vs the older 3.6. I suppose through extensive work you
could swap everything over to get the smaller stroke, but it would be labor
intensive.
The first engine that came to mind was the 4.2 out of the A6 4.2, and then
the B6 RS4, with 8000 rpm redline, (8250 hard fuel cut), which would be the
most amazing sound from a car like this.
