Hey John, here's a link to some cheap sensors that will work(just have to
ziptie the extra cable)......I've bought 2 set of these from the same
people, and they worked great.   Replace both sensors while in there.....If
you still have a problem, at least you've got 2 new sensors in there, since
they seem to have a pretty limited lifespan......Most likely the
problem.....Tom

You know, I thought this sounded familiar, thanks to your reminder, I went
through this with my '90 5 or so years ago.  I swapped both sensors, since
they're tucked underneath everything and I was going in there already.  I
bet there's even a discussion on the list including me on the topic.  Hah,
I told you the gods were laughing.  :)  I seem to remember there being a VW
part number that too was identical but longer wire.  Off I go to search my
own emails... :)
