I am also still married after 16 years of V8 ownership. I can only conclude that they are in fact the ultimate chick magnet.

Btw, a part of my V8 lives on in my allroad!
It turns out the allroad has a fan that likes to disintegrate and take out the radiator. It is also expensive of course. So as luck would have it I still have a old fan clutch from the v8 that takes a more common and cheap fan - $20 vs $120. So I put it on the allroad. It sits back about 1/2 inch from the original but it should work ok.
