I can't find the info in my archives.

Steve Buccholz provided info about how the cooling fan is controlled by the
IC some time ago.

I seem to recall there is a cooling system sensor that can be unplugged to
get the cooling fan to run independent of the IC.

Or maybe it is wishful thinking.
