Don't have a heater hose alternative but thought I'd observe that I learned a couple years ago that spraying hose ends with penetrants like PB blaster makes hose removal much easier.

Tediously fingered on my iPhone

They say wisdom comes with age, but all it takes is a split second to realize that I can be just as stupid as I ever was......Anyway, couldn't work, so I thought Id run some gas thru the Audi's......Both are now sporting non functioning heater fans and its been on the to-do list to do one of them so I've got a winter driver. Lago's only real issue is the POS fan that became intermittant at about 80K('06) and have limped that along till now where that upper brush is just toast. Rack weep that I can live with....IC needs to be removed, but mostly runs/drives great.

Went out today to go to store and smelled coolant......carpet was wet with a clean blue liquid. Have 2 new OEM heater cores from ebay audi guy $40/each. So, probably putting 5-speed back in storage for now to get a fan in Lago as I simply don't have the time to deal with all of the 5-speed stuff.

I cut all the parts car ones as they didnt want to come off/assumed I wouldnt reuse a 25 yo hose.....Do lots of plumbing so can make it work, just wondering if anyone;s found a good alternative hose to make it easy. as theres a whole lot of "not easy" coming my way. Hate/Love my cars....Anyone dealt with the hose thing, let me know....Tom
