Made me go find the one with the broken cable after work, and gonna drill out the rivet(bottom side of this bushing on blue wheel) on the spare with a broken cable and see how it comes apart, then can glean this slider and move it to the one on the car. Still haven't built my garage, but when I do, have a friend's dads stash of metalworking machines that need a home instead of being in deep storage. Could use that right about now. The "slider" is not a part they intended anyone to replace, otherwise they'd have put a screw on back of blue pulley...Ha. The day I had the door apart, didn't have the time to mess with it and being a Sunday, opted for the ziptie to simply hold it up. After buying 3 parts cars, really hate to buy a regulator as I've got 8 or so left and have the means to deal with this, just lazy and wanted to throw a whole unit in. Won't pay $60 shipping for a 26yo part that's likely to fail soon, unless it got replaced, which is also likely as the drivers one get's used and 2 of the 3 parts cars had bad units. If I replace this slider, the motor will STB next year.....guaranteed, which is why I was asking if anyone has used a NEW aftermarket unit. Bob, that link was good, and my dealer parts gal gives me a slightly higher#, but the aftermarket are right around $100/reason for the original question. If I show the link, she'll match it, but I'm gonna see what happens when I drill out that rivet tomorrow(left drill on jobsite).....
On a totally different note, Selfcheck system is constantly squaking at me, and wondering if I just remove the leads to the speaker on ICU board is that OK, or do I need to jumper them? I've got 2 spare ICU's and one's got 125K and the other is higher....5-speed is just shy of 170K and really don't want to replace ICU, Just want it to stop the noise......leave it or jumper the leads?....Tom
