[V8] UFO brake upgrade

Hello all,

I would like to know what brake options are out there for UFO's that are
not the hp2 version. I have done some research & came up with some dead
ends. It looks like someone did the 17/8z caliper upgrade, but the person
never stated if it actually works. I have also read that possibly calipers
from the b6 A4 work. Again no mention of, or update on, the thread as to
the conversion working. Ideally I would like to run the 18z caliper & some
light weight rotors. I have owned a few V8's in my life, but this is my
first 5 speed. And I would love to just do the oem+ upgrades to this car. I
just don't really want to spend a couple grand just for larger brakes when
there are factory upgrades that bolt on without much
problem/modifications.  T.I.A.
