Hey Roger, if the avant has the same rear Girling rotors/calipers as V8, have a good used set I can mail you. My 04 Duramax is a joy to drive also and gets about what the V8 got on highway, but the entire front end wore out at 75K(weak link on these trucks), and yesterday I manually readjusted "self adjusting" E-brake/bled brakes and snapped off a bleed screw(all were corroded to death in the land of no corrosion). E-brake is better, but basically didn't work great when new(29K)....another weak link. I've got 140K and headliner is loose(yet another headliner story) and drivers leather seat has failed huge. I suggest you have mechanic install new bleed screws and spray everything down with corrosionXHD to not have to go thru what I did yesterday....ended up extracting without damage to the caliper(only $50/caliper at napa). Michelin LTX are by far the longest wearing/best tires for that truck made and are fairly priced. Love my truck.....Tom
