While doing the timing belt I found that the engine mount on the front of the engine is toast part number 441199267B. This part is NLA , I looked on the internet without success to find one hiding. So I am not sure what the name is for this piece torque stop? Is there an alternative? Is it necessary? Does anyone have a spare they would like to part with ? I am a real fan of the V8 its a beautiful car. My introduction was in Germany in 2001 when a friend met me at Oktoberfest and we traveled back to Austria in his V8. I had never heard of one previously, but when we hit 265 Kph on the autobahn I knew this is the car for me. I bought one after a 6 month search when I returned to the US and drove it for 8-9 years without to much trouble. When I sold the V8, a sad day, I went and drove a 2001 S8, it was nice and a lot newer but I did not click with it. So I bought  93 S4 and finally got the 5 speed I wanted in the V8. It was and is a great car but its not a V8  So when the same friend now US resident wanted to give me his US V8, I picked it up from the mechanic he was tired of paying . I have had it running a couple of times but something always fails shortly after. This time the starter failed, I thought it was a broken belt, so I took of the timing cover and rotated the engine the belt was very very loose ARGHH! So it needs a new timing belt, a new rack, heater core and a new starter. Just the parts are over $1000.While doing the timing belt last weekend I determined that the records I have were not faithful or the parts had worn poorly in supposed 40,000 miles since the last belt was installed. So now I have ordered all new rollers water pump etc, plus a search for the engine mount. I wanted to do the rack while I have it a part but time may not permit. So it goes. It has to be a labor of love because I cant sell it literally, I had it listed on ebay off and on for $500 no takers. So if I let it go it will be to the yard. Its such a nice car but every plastic piece i touch crumbles in my had parts are becoming scarcer and scarcer. Currently my DD is a w126 Mercedes I inherited, its a 90, and  something i would never have acquired on my own but its a great car and the parts fall into your hands, the dealer will supply anything! Quite different from VAG where anything over 10yo should be scrapped. I want and need a larger car so I have been looking at e500 wagon , Q7, expedition, suburban etc, Something that has seating for 7 and a v8 , diesel or turbo/supercharged v6 v4. I have driven most of the above and can say without reservation yuckkkk. So i am throwing money at a 1992 Audi V8 which is probably a waste of time and money , probably? no definitely. What else can I do I hate all the computer crap on cars now. Their serviceability is becoming more and more of  concern for the home mechanic. So what seems to be an increasingly small group of us who can not let go of those Autobahn dreams persevere. Thanks, George
