[V8] The passing of Tom LaPlante

I just saw this.  I cannot believe Tom passed.  He was definitely the most
helpful member of this group to me.  We'd end up in side conversations
often.  I am so sorry and sad to hear this news.  RIP Tom - I will miss
you.
