I want to thank everyone who responded with to my engine mount question. I
guess I will try to tackle that later in the week. I also wanted to say
that after many years of working on A2s only, the replacement of the Bunny
truck's clutch disc was so simple. I simply lowered the engine (leaving the
passenger side engine mount in place, since it was already shot anyway)
pulled on the the tranny and viola. Replacement was just as simple. The
last time I did a tranny it was in my son's former Golf GTI with Power
steering. I fought with that monster for a full hour to just get it out
after removing all of the engine mounts and lowering the engine and then
another hour to get it in. It kept getting hung up on the lower control arm
and the power steering box. I guess that is the difference when you design
one car (the A1) to have the engine and tranny removed from the bottom while
the A2 is removed from the top. Now to get the rear bumper assembly that I
bought on ebay mounted and finish the carpet on the passenger side. Hayden
