   Actually, this whole thing is hardly even arguable, it's pretty much
moot. Just look at Brazil, where they run 50% of their vehicle fleet on ethanol
from sugercane. And they haven't even gotten in to biodiesel yet.
   The biggest problem for biodiesel in the US today is the US gov't headed by
the Enron gang in the Whitehouse (and who are Big Oil, in plain fact), and the
National Biodiesel Board who are largely just a bunch of public teat sucking
soybean people. Nobody in their right mind would grow soybeans for biodiesel,
just as nobody would grow corn for ethanol -- expect for all those criminal crop
price supports which give us mountains of soybeans and corn sitting around
looking for a buyer.
   Once biofuel technology really gets rolling, the oil companies will be out of
business. Heck, they know this, and they also know that world oil production
will peak in this very decade, and then it's all downhill from there for
them. Shell even put out a paper on it, and is investing heavily in biofuels and
other alternative energy.
   The green dream is reality, and it's here and now -- wake up and hear the
birds sing.
