[Vwdiesel] head studs

I talked to arp and raceware.Both undercut there studs to better deal with
the expansion of the alum. head.I was concerned about this undercut letting
the head gasket shift.I,m making up a collar to go over the stud and into
the counterbore in the block 2/ head.These will stick up far enough to
locate the head gasket.The price is 110.85 plus shipping.The kit no. is
2514701 and comes with thread lube.Was this undercut a concern for those who
used raceware? ARP head studs are a little longer than need be but there is
still plenty of thread left to torque down the nut.
