[Vwdiesel] block heater in freeze plug

I'm in WI... block heater is allowing me to get one more winter out of
my tired '91 Jetta Ecodiesel engine. Even in a healthy engine with
whatever oil I still think it's much easier on everything to use block
heater in AM vs cold start. TDI's are probably a different subject with
all their control sensors.
Off topic here: any one here have a recommendation for a plug in heater
for my old 2 cylinder John Deere? I'm thinking of picking up a dipstick
heater to warm it up for starting in Winter unless someone can recommend
a better system - John Deere 70 diesel with pony start if anyone's
interested... pmail so as not to disturb other listers here...
Thanks,
Chris

Geez, for what? Even in WI and MN you don't need them if you use
synoil.
