I can tell you from first hand experience that this
stuff is miserable to remove and work around. That
stuff just about ended my project of repairing my
"totalled" pickup with parts from a donor vehicle.
If you can find it and reapply it, you can rest
assured that your vehicle is glued together at least
as much as bolted. Me, I stopped at bolting it all
together.
There was a big difference in the type of goop used
between 79 and 81 (the 2 vehicle years I took apart).
The 81 has the caulk like goop, the 79 was more epoxy
like.
