Here is another Fram story.

I was replacing the Fram filter with a German filter. The Fram came off easily.
I filled up the German one with fresh oil. I carefully threaded it on then
torqued it to perfection. I fired up the car and noticed low oil pressure. I
blipped the throttle a couple of times then shut it down because of the low
pressure. I got out and noticed an oil lake under the car. To make matters
worse, I was on my neighbor's property under some trees.

Upon investigation, I discovered that the Fram filter gasket was stuck to the
filter attachment so that there were two gaskets and the Fram gasket being
unsupported, blew out.

Now I check the old filter for its gasket before installing a new filter.

The ground was soft and I was able to remove all the dirt and my neighbor never
noticed.
